Jean & Raymont Harris Foundation

Join us in turning loss into healing for families impacted by maternal mortality.

About Us

Every life begins with a mother. But not every mother survives the journey. I lost mine the day I was born. My father was suddenly alone, raising two adolescent kids and an infant while grieving the woman he loved. That loss shaped everything. It didn’t just hurt emotionally. It fractured us mentally, financially, and spiritually. And we weren’t alone. Maternal mortality still takes too many women. In the U.S., Black women are hit hardest, dying at rates far beyond their white counterparts. These aren’t statistics. These are daughters, wives, sisters, and mothers. And far too often, their deaths are preventable. The Jean & Raymont Harris Foundation exists to change that. We fight for maternal health, offer support to families left behind, and stand with former athletes as they rebuild after sports. Whether it's grief, identity loss, or mental health battles, we show up where others disappear. This foundation was born from pain. We’re building it with purpose.

What We Do

We honor mothers lost in childbirth by supporting the families left behind—and helping prevent more loss.

Turning Grief Into Action

We don’t wait for healing to happen. We help make it possible.

HEALING AFTER LOSS.

CREATING A FUTURE WITH HOPE

Born from personal loss and built with purpose, we support families affected by maternal mortality and former athletes navigating life after sports. From mental health to grief support to wellness resources, we’re focused on healing. Our mission is prevention. But when tragedy hits, no one should be left to face it alone.

WE STAND WITH THE ONES LEFT HOLDING THE PIECES

And we help them rebuild.
